The closest ski spot to Boston, Blue Hills offers everything from lessons to night skiing, and is a great place for beginners to start. Weston Ski Track (11 mi.)

Leo J. Martin Ski Track (11 mi.)
Open by reservation only through March 2021, this ski track is located just 20 minutes outside of Boston and offers cross country skiing, snowshoe trails lessons, rentals, and more. Open weekdays from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and weekends from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the track is a popular winter spot for locals and visitors alike. Make sure you call ahead.

Nashoba Valley Ski Area (25 mi.)
With 17 trails of varying degrees of difficulty, and everything from skiing to snowtubing, this huge park is a great spot for families. Located about 25 miles outside of the city, the park offers private and group lessons, adaptive lessons, lifts, and free parking. Rising up to 240 ft., the longest run is over ½ a mile. Visitors can call ahead or purchase tickets online.

Great Brook Ski Touring Center (30 mi.)
Located just 30 miles outside of downtown Boston, Great Brook Ski Touring Center offers some of the best cross country skiing in New England. Explore thousands of acres of trails encompassing all levels of difficulty. From scenic woodlands to peaceful ponds and farms, the natural beauty is truly a sight to behold. The machine groomed trails include a smooth lane for skating as well.

Ski Bradford (34 mi.)
Located in Haverhill, just over 30 miles from Revere Hotel Boston Common, Ski Bradford offers everything from night skiing to lessons to rentals, and ski and snowboard clinics. Its 15 trails are covered in snow throughout the season, boasting more than 60 acres of beautiful, powder-white skiing terrain. With three triple chair lifts and six surface lifts this park has the capacity to handle it all.

Wachusett Mountain (57 mi.)
Overlooking the beautiful Wachusett Lake, this 100-acre ski area offers terrain suitable for beginners and intermediates alike. With a beginner learning area, beautiful surroundings, and mellow terrain, this popular ski spot boasts 19 trails that wind along the mountain, surrounded by old growth forest. Family friendly events take place throughout the year, making it a great skiing destination for the little ones.

Pat's Peak (80 mi.)
This ski area makes for a great day trip from Boston, and features 28 trails geared toward skiers of all skill levels. The varied terrain, roundtrip bus service, and array of activities make it a favorite among visitors from out of town. Enjoy everything from skiing to snowshoeing to tubing at this unique ski destination.

Gunstock Mountain Resort (103 mi.)
