Join the MIT Press Bookstore in welcoming poets Kate Colby, Darcie Dennigan, and Natalie Shapero. Kate Colby is the author of seven books of poetry, including The Arrangements, and a new book of critical lyric essays called Dream of the Trenches. She has received awards from the Poetry Society of America, the RI State Council for the Arts and the Woodberry Poetry Room at Harvard. She lives and works and teaches in Providence. Darcie Dennigan has published three books of poetry and one of performance texts, The Parking Lot and other feral scenarios. She has won awards from the Poetry Society of America, Rhode Island State Council of the Arts, Bread Loaf Writers Conference and the Discovery/The Nation prize. Born in Rhode Island and living there now, she is co-founder of the Providence literary community Frequency Writers, resident playwright at The Wilbury Theatre Group, and a writer in residence at the University of Connecticut. Her first novel, Slater Orchard, comes out in the fall. Natalie Shapero is the author of the poetry collections Hard Child and No Object. She teaches at Tufts University.
