Join the MIT Press Bookstore in welcoming poets Anna Moschovakis and Ryan Eckes. Anna Moschovakis is the author of the novel Eleanor, or, The Rejection of the Progress of Love and of three books of poetry, most recently They and We Will Get Into Trouble for This. Also a translator of prose and poetry from the French, she has taught in graduate writing programs at Bard, Pratt, and Columbia. She is a longtime member of the publishing collective Ugly Duckling Presse and a co-founder of Bushel, an art and community space in Delhi, NY.(photo credit: Heather Phelps-Lipton) Ryan Eckes is a poet from Philadelphia. His latest book, General Motors (Split Lip Press, 2018), is about labor and the influence of public and private transportation on city life. Other books include Valu-Plus and Old News (Furniture Press 2014, 2011). His poetry can be found in Tripwire, Slow Poetry in America Newsletter, Entropy and elsewhere. In recent years he has worked as an adjunct professor and labor organizer in education. He won a Pew Fellowship in 2016.
