Did you know that Sherrod Williams started the Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement, OSLCE, in 2008? That means this school year is our 10th anniversary! Sherrod's legacy lives on at UMass Boston in some of the programs he started and through all of you - students and faculty who have participated in an OSLCE program throughout these 10 past years. We'll be celebrating this year at our Spring Day of Service on April 27, 2019! Join us in service and for a special celebration after service. We'll have lunch, a special speaker, appreciation awards for our volunteers, and a senior send-off. Our Day of Service will begin with breakfast, tshirts, and team meet up on campus at 8:00AM, head out to service sites across the city and return to campus for lunch and our celebration at 1:00PM. This is an event you don't want to miss! So whether you are a current student, staff, faculty, or UMass Boston alumni, we hope you'll mark your calendar and join us on April 27th for service and a celebration! You can register here for both the morning service portion and the celebration or just the celebration for alumni if you cannot join us all day! There are registration options for individuals or teams. To register as a group, please check in with your group organizer and create a "Team Registration" page and register your members under that team. (For example, a BVS team would use "BVS" as their team name and all members can search for the team once it is created on Eventbrite. To start a new team, simply click "Create Team" in the team registration page. A group could also be a department on campus or a family of alumni coming to the event together! We will need the contact information for each person in a team for our planning. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions and check out our Facebook event page for more updates here.
