Designed to embrace its raw structural elements, the avant-garde meeting spaces of Gallery evoke a creative energy akin to an artist’s loft. Boasting 10,000 square feet spread among five separate rooms, including Bohea, Singlo, Bigelow, Celestial, Salada, and convenient Boston pre-function space, Tea Gallery can accommodate up to 400 people. Be prepared to make this blank Boston event space your own, with chalkboard walls available for spurts of creativity.
On the night of December 16, 1773, Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty boarded three ships in the Boston harbor and threw 342 chests of tea overboard. This resulted in the passage of the punitive Coercive Acts in 1774 and pushed the two sides (Patriot's/British) closer to war. Both Bohea and Singlo were the teas that were thrown overboard.
