Essential Boston Attractions and Experiences Near Our Hotel Near Back Bay

Explore the City’s Signature Sights

Out city is defined by the distinctive Boston attractions and experiences available around every corner. Elegant architecture, thrilling sporting events, open green spaces, bustling streets of shops and cafes and a brilliant waterfront provide ample opportunity to explore Boston’s rich past, present and future. Immerse yourself in the Boston experience.

Take in a Beantown tradition by attending the Boston Marathon and cheering on the 26,000-plus runners who wind their way through 26.2 miles of the city’s most scenic sections on their way to the finish line at Copley Square.

Spend a day like a local wandering the historic streets of Boston’s South End. This historic neighborhood, located just a few blocks southwest of Revere Hotel, features quiet residential blocks brimming with the beautiful, stately architecture Boston is known for and upscale avenues dotted with cozy cafes and shops. Bookend your day by making a trip to North End – just a short distance northeast – for the world-famous cannoli, cakes and cookies of Mike’s Pastry. Be aware lines can be in excess of 30 minutes!

Walk Freedom Trail and put yourself in the footsteps of the Founding Fathers. This red brick path forges a 2.5-mile trail through Downtown Boston, making its way from the south end of Boston Common to the Bunker Hill Monument on the north side of the Charles River. Freedom Trail features some of America’s most storied historic sites, including King’s Chapel, the Paul Revere house and Faneuil Hall.

Put on your cap, don your red & white, and head out to Fenway Park to catch a Boston Red Sox game. The Sox and The Green Monster are Boston traditions – the team has played at Fenway since 1912, making the park the oldest facility in use by a Major League Baseball team today. The ghosts of great Red Sox still linger between the foul poles, as Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski and Pedro Martinez played some of their greatest games here. Arrive early to experience the energy of Fenway and the famed Lansdowne Street, lined with some of the country’s best sports bars.

If you are visiting on the second-to-last weekend in October, head over to the Charles River to catch the action at The Head of the Charles Regatta. Featuring more than 8,900 athletes rowing in over 50 events, it is the second-largest 2-day regatta in the world. The field is made up of competitors from colleges, high schools and clubs around the world, making it a premier showcase for athletes. Spectators can also enjoy Reunion Village and various other food & clothing vendors. Our hotel near Back Bay offers the perfect vantage point from which to enjoy the city.
